Around The Saleyards

The rain is still the topic number 1 at the saleyards. The cattle market holds on and with some classes of cattle we are seeing an improvement. With the worst month ahead of us,if you have any cattle with a bit of condition on them it might be the time to get the money then replace them in the spring.

We will be conducting our Monthly Store & Breeder sale on Saturday the 27th June 2009. We expect 400 head. Including 18 charlois weaner steers.

Livestock Transit Insurance

Kempsey Stock & Land is now offering Livestock Transit Insurance.

Transit insurance will cover your livestock consignment/ purchase from the loading yard to the point of delivery e.g. saleyards, abattoir or property to property. Transit insurance allows you to insure your livestock whilst in transport for death or slaughter for humane reasons caused by accidental or natural causes. This cover not only insures against incidents such as suffocation or broken legs but also provides cover on these carriers that do not have their own insurance on accidents such as rollovers, collisions or equipment failure.
